Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi 15C 5G in India, positioning it as a powerful and feature-rich option in the competitive sub-₹15,000 segment. The device focuses on delivering exceptional battery life and a smooth media experience, making it a compelling successor to the Redmi 14C.
Massive Endurance and Immersive Display
The headline feature of the Redmi 15C 5G is its colossal 6,000mAh battery, a significant upgrade designed for multi-day usage. The phone supports 33W fast charging (with the adapter included in the box) to ensure quick top-ups, and even features 10W reverse charging, allowing it to act as a power bank.
Complementing the large battery is an immersive 6.9-inch HD+ display. Crucially, the screen offers an AdaptiveSync 120Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth scrolling and viewing experience—a rarity at this price point. The display also carries TÜV Rheinland certification for eye comfort, making long media consumption sessions easier on the eyes.
Performance and Optics

Under the hood, the Redmi 15C 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. This 6nm processor ensures 5G connectivity and reliable performance for day-to-day tasks and light gaming. It is available in multiple configurations, with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD.
The software runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, based on Android 15, and the company is promising two major OS upgrades and four years of security patches. The phone even integrates premium AI features like Circle to Search with Google and Google Gemini.
For photography, the device is equipped with a 50MP AI dual rear camera system (with an $f/1.8$ aperture) designed to capture clear, detailed shots. An 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
Starting at ₹12,499 for the 4GB+128GB variant, the Redmi 15C 5G, with its focus on battery life and display quality, is set to be a tough contender in the budget 5G market.
